This educational, conference, and seed production complex is conceived of as a whole composed of parts, a thickened boundary between park and city that retains permeability through the layering of planes. The public programming of the building is visible from the courtyard facade. As a backdrop to a bed of topical wildflowers, the L-shaped enclosure of the building defines a range of activities between incubation and learning.
