SCARBOROUGH PRAYER SPACE

Utilizing a small space to maximum effect, this interior renovation will serve multiple purposes, from youth-oriented programming to a prayer space meant for a larger community. The space has different functional “modes” in which it operates. Moveable partitions allow for the separation and merging of the spaces. Using traditional Islamic motifs with lightweight materials, the interior conveys a sense of the sacred and tranquil despite the otherwise vibrant use of the facility.
